YOGA + MEDITATION
De-Stress & De-Compress
30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes
Our signature class includes exposure to both yoga postures and meditation. In as little as 30 minutes, your team can experience yoga postures that will help them undo chronic tension and pain, while identifying habits that contribute to them. The postures are complemented by breathing techniques that stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps negate the effects of chronic stress. Participants will be delighted to discover that they can easily learn the skill of de-stressing throughout their days, without the need to wait for a vacation. Meditation is built in for shorter periods at the beginning and final minutes of class.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Class is focused on undoing tension, and is not physically demanding. No participant experience is required. Postures are experienced on the floor, and are a blend of seated and lying down. All ages, sizes, flexibility levels and abilities will benefit from the class.
ATTIRE: There is no need to change into athletic clothing, although dresses or skirts should not be worn. Many participants wear dress slacks or blue jeans.
MATS: We provide yoga mats and any props that the teacher plans to use in class. For businesses that are signing up for ongoing weekly classes, we provide mats to keep on site for the duration of the enrollment period.
De-Stress & Sharpen Focus
Our guided meditation classes incorporate breathing exercises, imagery and visualization. Techniques offered in class help students identify repetitive thought patterns that contribute to stress, and strategies for changing them. Offering meditation in the workplace helps your work team learn effective tools for managing stress that they can use at any time. Techniques in class are very simple, accessible and eaching simple, accessible and modern techniques for anyone. Meditation sessions include led breathing exercises that students can deploy as a stress management tool outside of class.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: No physical requirements as this is not a physical class. No participant experience is required. Meditation may be led either seated on chairs or the floor, with the additional option to be lying on the floor. All ages will benefit from meditation class.
ATTIRE: Meditation class does not require any special clothing. Skirts and dresses may also be worn as we will be seated for the duration of the session.
MATS: Upon scheduling the class we will talk to find out if you prefer sitting or lying class. If needed, we will provide mats to keep on site for the duration of the enrollment period.
